Red Sox Nation
Baseball season is officially underway. You Bostonians (and
non-Bostonians who have at least seen Fever Pitch) know that as spring blooms, Boston awakens and becomes a whole new city obsessed with America's favorite pastime. We went to our first Red Sox game of the season last night, and as usual, loved it. We met up at Game On! (one of our favorite sports bars), with Simon (a friend and plastics resident) and his
girlfriend Jackie (a nurse at the Brigham). Simon is British and had never been to a Sox game despite living near Fenway for the past few years, so that was exciting. We then headed to Fenway. Every time we see the Sox play, we always marvel that, anyone who sits in Fenway can't help but love this city and its team. We also love that the Sox are such a short cab ride away from where we live. We were a tad disappointed with the un-spring-like weather (freezing) and that we didn't get to see Dice-K pitch last night, but hey-- we've got the rest of the season! Here are a couple of pics we shot. (We both look absolutely awful, but we were freezing, and were both coming off exhausting weeks!) The Sox beat the Angels. Duh. Go Sox!
