Bondi in Boston
Last weekend (the wknd of 4/21), we had the great fortune of having a three-day visit from our friend, Brett. (Brett has been a friend of ours ever since he was Brian's fraternity brother and roommate at Berkeley.)
We showed Brett around Boston, and had a lot of fun doing it. On Friday, Sherry left work a bit early (since her office was being moved anyway and she couldn't get to anything). Brett and
Sherry had very late lunch at Kingfish Hall, then walked the Freedom Trail, through Boston Common and Public Garden, up Newbury Street and then caught the T to Harvard Square. Sherry showed Brett around Harvard, and the inside of Widener Library, and then we cabbed home to meet up with Brian when he got home from work. That night, we went to the North End for great Italian food at Strega, and caught an improv comedy show at Improv Asylum. It was fun-- and funny. On Saturday, Brian and Brett went to a Red Sox/Yankees
game and had a fantastic time-- especially since the Sox won! Brett couldn't believe the die-hard Sox fans at Fenway. Later, we had a fun casual dinner at The
Barking Crab, a favorite of ours. On Sunday, we had brunch at Tavern on the Water-- one of our favorite places in our neighborhood-- and then walked up and down the waterfront before taking Brett to the airport. The weather was fantastic the entire weekend; Brett brought L.A. with him! Having Brett here was so fun. He's such a great guy, and we miss him already!
