Congratulations, Maya and Tom!

Sorry we haven't updated the blog lately. We've been dealing with a lot of construction at our house, long work hours, very bad colds, and trying to get ready to go on vacation. We'll update this blog when we return from our trip, and yes, there will be pictures!

In the meantime, CONGRATULATIONS to our dear friend Maya and her fiance, Tom! They were engaged to be married last weekend. Like us, and like Julie and Raul, they went to junior high school together. They rediscovered one another at Julie and Raul's wedding in 2006 and started dating last year. We are so happy for them! Here are two cute pics of Maya; can't wait until we have a good one of the two of them (hint, hint)!

Our camera is still broken, but it gets boring writing about our own lives here in Boston, anyway, sometimes. We love getting pics from our friends, and hearing about the changes in their lives! Here are two from our dear friends Mark and Becky in the Dallas area. They recently moved into a beautiful new house (and given the size compared to the typical Boston abode, we tease them that we expect our own wing when we come to visit)! Their darling daughter Kayla, right, gets cuter every day. She truly is ridiculously smart. She has been speaking in full paragraphs and using big words for quite a long time now. It's adorable; talking to her on the phone is a riot. She is 3 1/2, and will be starting med school in the fall. Probably.
