Doin' the 8-clap!

Go, Bruins!!! UCLA's Final Four victory over LSU on Saturday night was awesome! We worked all weekend, but on Saturday night we were able to meet up with three of Brian's fellow orthopaedic surgeons, Courtney, Albert, and Abby (left, with Brian), and Albert's girlfriend Kara (pictured right with Albert and Abby), who is a nurse in neurosurgery and urology. The six of us had dinner and drinks while watching the game at Tequila Rain. (Our usual choice, Game On!, was rented out to the NCAA at the last minute on game day.) Sherry and Courtney, both UCLA undergrad alumnae, taught the rest of us the 8-clap, which we all performed loudly at the end of the game. The bar turns into a cheesy spring-break style club around 11 p.m., so we stayed late celebrating, even though Brian had to be at work at 5:45 a.m. Boston is also the site of the women's Final Four right now, so the city is packed with basketball revelers, making it all the more fun. Good luck to the Bruins in Monday night's champion game, where they WILL beat Florida!!!
