Yesterday was our niece Allison's birthday! We don't have any digital pics of Ali yet, but when we get some we'll definitely put some up. She is a beautiful and spirited young woman, and we hope she had a wonderful, fun birthday! Happy Birthday, Ali!
We also want to welcome to the world Mira Elizabeth (very pretty name!), daughter of our friends Erin and Chetan (shown right at their 2002 wedding). Mira was born on February 27th in San Francisco; no pics of the cutie yet, but we'll post one when we do. Congratulations, Erin and Chetan! Speaking of our hip new mama friend, Erin, a friend since baby-lawyer days with Sherry, also celebrated her own birthday in February. Happy Birthday, Erin!

Birthday to Karen! (shown left), a friend since law school. Karen is a wonderful woman whose hilarious sense of humor and friendship we miss so much from 3,000 miles away. Also Happy Birthday to Anne!, a friend since 1998-- the old Boston days! (Shown right in the middle with daughter Madeline, husband Chris--right, and her sister-in-law and brother). We are so happy to be here with her and Chris; Annie is a ray of sunshine in a pretty cold climate.
